Attorney Advisor

Description: EDA seeks to fill one (1) position with this job announcement: Attorney Advisor (Regional Counsel) position in EDA’s Office of Chief Counsel(OCC) located at EDA’s Seattle Regional Office.

EDA’s OCC ensures that EDA complies with applicable legal requirements imposed on its programs by statute, regulation, case law, Executive Order, OMB Circular or controlling policy. The Chief Counsel in EDA’s Washington, DC Headquarters (HQ) directs and supervises the activities of OCC, which at full capacity encompasses the Deputy Chief Counsel, EDA’s seven Regional Counsels, one additional attorney in the field, two attorney-advisors in HQ and one administrative specialist.

The Seattle Regional Counsel is the responsible legal authority in the Seattle Regional Office. As such, this attorney will be responsible for, among other things, the legal sufficiency of all EDA grant or cooperative agreement investments processed by the Regional Office. The Regional Counsel will report directly to the Chief Counsel and will maintain close daily client relations with the Regional Director and all Regional Office staff.
