Federal Grant Expected to Create 130 Jobs and Generate $4 Million in Private Money
The U.S. Commerce Department's Economic Development Administration (EDA) today announced a $225,000 investment to the South Eastern Development Foundation of Sioux Falls, S.D., to capitalize a revolving loan fund that will provide loans to businesses impacted by the Midwest flooding disaster in 2008 and will serve Clay, Lincoln, McCook, Minnehaha, Turner, and Union counties.
"The Economic Development Administration is pleased to partner with the South Eastern Development Foundation to boost business development and job growth," said Sandra R. Walters, EDA Chief Financial Officer/Chief Administrative Officer. "This EDA grant is expected to attract $4 million in private investment and create 130 jobs for local citizens."
