U.S. Department of Commerce Invests $44,739 to Create Jobs, Strengthen Economy in Lapwai, Idaho Region

WASHINGTON - The U.S. Commerce Department's Economic Development Administration (EDA) today announced a $44,739 grant to the Nez Perce Tribe of Lapwai, Idaho, to develop and implement a Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) for the Nez Perce Indian Reservation.
"The Economic Development Administration is pleased to partner with the Nez Perce Tribe to improve the regional economic climate," said Sandra R. Walters, EDA Chief Financial Officer/Chief Administrative Officer. "This EDA grant will help develop a locally-devised blueprint for identifying economic development activities that will encourage private investment, boost entrepreneurial growth, and create jobs."
