EDA Grant Expected to Create 202 Jobs and Generate $38 Million in Private Investment
WASHINGTON - The U.S. Commerce Department's Economic Development Administration (EDA) today announced a $431,000 grant to the Walhalla Economic Development Corporation of Walhalla, N.D., to help make infrastructure improvements to the Walhalla Industrial Park which will enable the establishment of a pork slaughtering and fabrication facility.
"The Economic Development Administration is pleased to partner with the Walhalla Economic Development Corporation to boost business development and job growth," said Sandra R. Walters, EDA Chief Financial Officer/Chief Administrative Officer. "This EDA grant is expected to attract $38 million in private investment and create more than 200 jobs for local citizens, according to grantee estimates."
