U.S. Commerce Department Investment Supports New Ross Dress for Less Distribution Facility in Rock Hill, South Carolina

WASHINGTON - The U.S. Department of Commerce's Economic Development Administration (EDA) today announced a $780,000 grant to the city of Rock Hill, South Carolina, to help build core infrastructure to support the establishment of Ross Dress for Less, Inc.'s new distribution and warehousing facility. The project is expected to create 550 jobs and generate $150 million in private investment, according to grantee estimates.

"The Commerce Department and the Obama administration are working diligently to bring jobs and economic growth to local communities," Erskine said. "This EDA grant will provide the critical infrastructure needed to accommodate the new, job-creating Ross facility in Rock Hill."

The EDA investment will construct the core infrastructure needed to support Ross Dress for Less, Inc.'s new distribution and warehousing facility, which will serve as the only east coast distribution point for Ross home furnishing products.
