Federal Employee Viewpoint Survey (FEVS)
The Federal Employee Viewpoint Survey (FEVS) is a tool that measures employees' perceptions of whether, and to what extent, conditions characterizing successful organizations are present in their agencies. Survey results provide valuable insight into the challenges agency leaders face in ensuring the Federal Government has an effective civilian workforce and how well they are responding.
The survey is conducted by the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) in two waves, starting at the end of April with the final surveys closing in mid-June. The 2016 survey was conducted electronically on the Internet and directed at full-time and part-time, permanent, non-seasonal employees.
Public release of agency FEVS information is specified in 5 CFR 250.303. The regulation identifies 45 FEVS items that are required to be posted for public viewing. The full survey contains 84 items including 12 on work-life plus a number of demographics. We have decided to post the full survey results for your information. The required items are identified on the report with an asterisk.
