WASHINGTON – Today, U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina M. Raimondo announced that the Department’s Economic Development Administration (EDA) is awarding a $3.7 million grant to the city of Winona, Mississippi, for the installation of a 250,000-gallon water tank, creating economic resiliency while facilitating job creation and retention. The EDA grant, to be matched with $1.2 million in other federal, state, and local investment, is expected to create 15 jobs and generate $8 million in private investment.

WASHINGTON – Today, U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina M. Raimondo announced the Department’s Economic Development Administration (EDA) is awarding its first local investment as part of the Coal Communities Commitment to the Morgantown Utility Board in Morgantown, W.Va. The $2 million American Rescue Plan grant will help  create 300 jobs and generate $250 million in private investment to build a new  beverage processing and packaging facility in the Morgantown Industrial Park.

This EDA grant will be matched with $727,203 in local funds.

Raimondo announced that the Department’s Economic Development Administration (EDA) is awarding a $3.6 million grant to the Workroom Program Alliance and the Cleveland Municipal School District., Cleveland, Ohio, to renovate a 33,000-square-foot space within Cleveland’s Collinwood High School for use as an adult technical training and workforce development facility. This EDA project, to be matched with $901,928 in local funds, is expected to create 218 jobs, retain 819 jobs, and generate $15 million in private investment.

Raimondo announced that the Department’s Economic Development Administration (EDA) is awarding a $1.5 million grant to the city of Crossett, Arkansas, to complete the East Crossett Sewer Improvement Project to support business growth at the Crossett Industrial Park. This EDA project, to be matched with $365,180 in local funds, is expected to create 220 jobs, retain 40 jobs, and generate $603 million in private investment.
