In line with the Economic Development Administration’s 2020 Build to Scale Venture Challenge – Build funding opportunity, the Blue Pipeline Venture Studio (BPVS) will catalyze innovation in Alaska’s ocean economy through a platform engaging existing industry, entrepreneurs, investors, and government. The program will enable scalable business models through its support for the state’s top entrepreneurs working in ocean-based industries, the identification of new opportunities where gaps are present in existing ecosystems, and by attracting talent and technology from outside the state to develop the ocean economy. The Alaska Ocean Cluster (AOC) will leverage its network in support of Alaska’s tremendous ocean resources and expertise.
