The Michigan Industry 4.0 (MI4.0) Accelerator supports innovations that provide opportunities for manufacturers to continue production in times of crisis, avoid shortages of supply, limit disruptions in production, provide safety of workers, and facilitate digital transformation. Successfully launched in January 2020 in partnership with Lawrence Technological University’s Centrepolis Accelerator and Lean Rocket Lab, the program is designed to accelerate the commercialization of emerging Industry 4.0 technologies and introduce these technologies to the region’s manufacturing sector.
Over the next three years, the project will expand the Automation Alley’s MI4.0 Accelerator to support additional startups and manufacturers to serve as a vehicle for accelerating early-stage companies as well as established firms looking to commercialize products, services, or technologies within the Industry 4.0 sector. Companies involved in the program are eligible for direct investment from our seed fund, incubation services, and an immersive 6-month acceleration program to help spur innovation, commercialization, and growth. Additionally, Automation Alley will augment existing regional Industry 4.0 initiatives that have a proven track record of success, including education, events, networking, and business growth assistance.
