This EDA investment will fund some staff positions required to operate the Innovation Labs, a 40,000-square-foot facility that was funded through a previous EDA grant. The Innovation Labs will serve the greater Tallahassee/Leon County Florida area and contain offices, fabrication areas, wet labs, and dry labs to support multiple types of technology innovation. This award will enable the facility to administer business accelerator support services so that the region can pursue technology-based innovation and employers focused on technology-based products.
The laboratory will help stimulate the creation and growth of innovative technology jobs within the region by providing new, dedicated resources within the area to help ensure technology-based innovation opportunities stay in the region.
