757 ScaleUp Alliance

This EDA investment builds on a 2017 EDA i6 award to scale programs for regional entrepreneurs. Located in Hampton Roads, Virginia, 757 Collab houses three regional entrepreneurial resources that form a unique continuum serving early-stage entrepreneurs at every stage of development with incubation/programming (757 Startup Studios), acceleration programming (757 Accelerate), and capital (757 Angels). 757 Collab provides coordination services, mentorship, and fee-for-service work for community partners, such as the US Navy’s Mid Atlantic TechBridge (MATB).

757 Collab will work with Innovate Hampton Roads (InnovateHR) and the Hampton Roads Small Business Development Center (HRSBDC) to harmonize and streamline collaboration among these and other regional entrepreneurial support organizations. 757 Collab will also leverage its focus on emerging regional industry clusters in key technology focus areas (healthcare, advanced manufacturing, clean energy, and logistics/robotics) to catalyze job growth through targeted and selective incubation and acceleration programming for 30 founders in these industry verticals. The HRSBDC will further connect tech-based entrepreneurs to the Hampton Roads ecosystem by directly advising 30 tech-based businesses, delivering 500 advising hours.
