The Georgia Southern University EDA University Center connects the university assets within the Business Innovation Group (BIG). By combining the efforts of the university’s most successful and visible entrepreneurship and economic development centers, the EDA University Center will facilitate the creation and retention of jobs, the start of new businesses, expansion of existing businesses, and assist in the development of a robust and vibrant regional economic ecosystem. To meet these goals, BIG’s EDA University Center program will provide technical assistance through one-on-one discussion to regional entrepreneurs and innovators, conduct applied research that will assist community and business leaders in promoting activities which will lead to growth within targeted clusters, and utilize regionally connected nodes to disseminate information and facilitate connections that promote technology-based economic development throughout the region.
