The University of Illinois EDA University Center leverages university assets, an Illinois incubator network, and regional, statewide, and EDA partnerships to promote and foster entrepreneurship, technology innovation, and economic development. The Center’s mission is to support a growing pipeline of long-term innovation, high-growth entrepreneurship, high-skilled regional talent pools, and business expansion within Illinois regional innovation clusters. The Center will prioritize efforts that 1) support technology-driven incubation, startups, and development projects, 2) technology workforce development with digital job skills training, and 3) programming that advances diversity and equity of traditionally underserved populations in technology sectors.
