Enterprise 4.0 is inclusive of all industry sectors in building their interconnected ecosystems. The vision of the Center for Organizational Readiness towards Enterprise 4.0 (CORE4.0) is to become a nationally recognized leader in helping companies to assess their readiness towards Enterprise 4.0 and prepare their workforce accordingly. CORE4.0 will focus on three sectors in the first five-year cycle: manufacturing, logistics and healthcare. CORE4.0 will leverage research and educational entities at University of Louisville (UL) and Western Kentucky University (WKU) including Additive Manufacturing Institute of Science and Technology, Logistics and Distribution Institute, and Workforce Innovation Lab. Additionally, unique partnership with Kentucky Digital Health Tech & Artificial Intelligence Innovation Coalition, funded by EDA’s Build Back Better Regional Challenge, will significantly broaden the Center’s impact on regional economy. CORE4.0 will also ensure equitable access for underserved communities by engaging minority business enterprises through collaboration with Kentucky Advanced Manufacturing Center, funded by Department of Commerce's Minority Business Development Agency.
