WASHINGTON – Today, U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo announced the Department’s Economic Development Administration (EDA) is awarding a $6.4 million American Rescue Plan Good Jobs Challenge grant to North Central New Mexico Economic Development District, Santa Fe, New Mexico, to create the Northern New Mexico Workforce Integration Network (WIN), a healthcare, building and construction workforce training program.

WASHINGTON – Today, U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo announced the Department’s Economic Development Administration (EDA) is awarding a $14.7 million American Rescue Plan Good Jobs Challenge grant to Illinois Central College, East Peoria, Illinois, to create an information technology training program in partnership with local companies.

WASHINGTON – U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo today is announcing the Department’s Economic Development Administration (EDA) is awarding an $11 million American Rescue Plan Good Jobs Challenge grant to Hampton Roads Workforce Council, Norfolk, Virginia, for the Hampton Roads Workforce Training System for Good Jobs, to build a regional talent pipeline focused on the blue economy, clean energy, and related cybersecurity.

WASHINGTON – Today, U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo announced the Department’s Economic Development Administration (EDA) is awarding an $8.4 million American Rescue Plan Good Jobs Challenge grant to Charleston Chamber Foundation, Charleston, South Carolina, for the Lowcountry Healthcare Careers Collaborative, which promotes inclusive and equitable growth in the region through healthcare training programs.

Raimondo announced the Department’s Economic Development Administration (EDA) is awarding a $3 million grant to the Watermark Auto Group Foundation, Marion, Illinois, to renovate the historic Citadel building to house the Entrepreneurial and Technical Opportunities (EThOs) business incubator.

Raimondo announced the Department’s Economic Development Administration (EDA) is awarding a $3 million grant to the city of Henderson, Kentucky, for construction of a high-pressure natural gas line needed to support manufacturing growth. This grant is funded by the American Rescue Plan and EDA’s $300 million Coal Communities Commitment.
