U.S. Department of Commerce Invests $2.5 Million for Wastewater Infrastructure Improvements to Support Economic Growth at the Bay Mills Indian Community Reservation in Michigan

WASHINGTON – Today, U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo announced the Department’s Economic Development Administration (EDA) is awarding a $2.5 million grant to the Bay Mills Indian Community in Brimley, Michigan, for wastewater infrastructure improvements needed to support economic development in the region.

Senior U.S. Department of Commerce Official Visits iFAB Tech Hub in Illinois

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, Eric Smith, director of the Tech Hubs Program at the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration (EDA), visited the iFAB Tech Hub in Illinois. The Biden-Harris Administration, through the EDA, designated the iFAB Tech Hub, a coalition led by the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, as a Tech Hub in October 2023.
