U.S. Department of Commerce Invests $2 Million in American Rescue Plan Funds for Roadway Improvements to Support Business Development in Springdale, Arkansas

WASHINGTON – Today, U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina M. Raimondo announced the Department’s Economic Development Administration (EDA) is awarding a $2 million grant to the city of Springdale, Arkansas, to extend Dixieland Road in the northern portion of the city. U.S. Department of Commerce Invests $2.7 Million in CARES Act Recovery Assistance to Train Marine Service Technicians in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula

WASHINGTON – Today, U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina M. Raimondo announced that the Department’s Economic Development Administration (EDA) is awarding a $2.7 million CARES Act Recovery Assistance grant to the Great Lakes Boat Building School, in Cedarville, Michigan, to construct a 10,000-square-foot school expansion, establish new boat-docking infrastructure and purchase additional marine electronics testing equipment.

Louisiana in the Spotlight for Success in Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Economic Resilience During High-Level International Delegation Visit

WASHINGTON – Today, the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration (EDA), in coordination with the U.S. Department of State and the Organization of American States (OAS), announced that 52 high-level representatives from 20 countries will participate in the 14th Americas Competitiveness Exchange (ACE) on Innovation and Entrepreneurship. ACE Louisiana will take place on March 26-April 1, 2022.

U.S. Department of Commerce Invests $5 Million in CARES Act Recovery Assistance to Support the Tourism Industry in Duluth, Minnesota

WASHINGTON – Today, U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina M. Raimondo announced that the Department’s Economic Development Administration (EDA) is awarding a $5 million CARES Act Recovery Assistance grant to the city of Duluth, Minnesota, to reconstruct a section of a seawall along Lake Superior behind the Duluth Entertainment and Convention Center (DECC).

WASHINGTON – Today, U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina M. Raimondo announced the Department’s Economic Development Administration (EDA) is awarding a $2.3 million grant to Laramie County Community College (LCCC) to purchase equipment for its new Advanced Manufacturing and Materials Center. This grant is funded by the American Rescue Plan and EDA’s $300 million Coal Communities Commitment.
