UA CED’s major activities to create jobs and generate investment include entrepreneurial trainings and advising, technical assistance for funding, CEDS development and implementation, market analysis, applied research, and coordination between EDDs and partner organizations. To achieve the scope of work identified in this proposal, UA CED will leverage a rich network of partners. The center presently serves as a central “hub” for economic development organizations in the state, amplifying the regional strategies employed by EDDs and applying a degree of coordination through the Statewide CEDS and a monthly forum for economic development entities. The center plans to continue this leadership role on behalf of EDA to promote competitiveness and innovation in Alaska.
