American Rescue Plan Impact

Awardee Map

The American Rescue Plan enabled the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration (EDA) to make once-in-a-generation investments to dramatically transform America’s communities.

EDA was allocated $3 billion in supplemental funding to assist communities nationwide in our efforts to build a better America by accelerating the economic recovery from the coronavirus pandemic and building local economies that will be resilient to future economic shocks. EDA awards American Rescue Plan funding through a series of six innovative challenges. EDA awarded all $3 billion of its one-time supplemental grant funding from the American Rescue Plan prior to its congressional deadline of September 30, 2022.

Below is an interactive map of EDA’s American Rescue Plan awardee locations across America.

Click on each point on the map for more info on each individual awardee project.

Disclaimer: Pins represent approximate location of grantees.

The EDA data provided herein should be viewed as a snapshot of the data available at the time of publication and are subject to any changes, or updates as reflected within future reports and data requests. This includes, but is not limited to, revisions to the number, dollar amount, program classification, primary appropriation, and grantee estimated outcomes (e.g., estimated jobs created) of specific grant awards. $2.94 billion was devoted to programs and $60 million was set aside by Congress for the administration of the program. Funding amounts will not add up to $2.94 billion due to rounding and split-funded projects.

Numbers of estimated jobs created/saved/placed and private investment dollars secured are estimates provided by each applicant proposal. Good Jobs Challenge grantees have not yet reported any jobs created/retained or private investment dollars, see our Fact Sheet for additional details about the job placements expected for this program and other data on these grantees.

Many American Rescue Plan projects support Indigenous Communities, even if they are not awarded under the Indigenous Communities program, which is a $100 million program designed specifically to meet the needs of this important and historically underserved population.
