The University of Florida and its collaborating partners at Florida International University Mission to Market (M2M) program’s 10-in-5: Cultivating High-Growth Tech Ventures is designed to identify and nurture ten high-growth minority-owned tech startups that achieve a collective valuation of $1 billion in five years. The program will serve 100 entrepreneurs with three years of EDA support, creating a pipeline to identify ten companies and entrepreneurs primed for high growth while serving 90 other tech start-ps to access needed resources for ideation, business operations training and mentorship/leadership training. The 10-in-5 program expands two successful programs, UF EDIT and FIU’s M2M programs, currently housed in their respective university’s tech transfer offices, that have been cultivating research-based models and programs to lower the barriers of entry for minoritized groups into tech ventures.
