HealthShare Exchange of Southeastern Pennsylvania, Inc.

HealthShare Exchange of Southeastern Pennsylvania (HSX) will implement a three-year program to accelerate its HSX MarketStreet Platform initiative. The HSX MarketStreet initiative seeks to overcome challenges to data-based healthcare innovations, including connectivity and data interoperability barriers. The initiative provides access to HSX’s clinical data repository to encourage development of creative solutions, including a testing workspace of application programming interfaces where innovators can actively test and develop solutions.

This project will expedite the growth of the HSX MarketStreet Platform by increasing the network of companies and innovators connected to the HSX MarketStreet, and attracting and growing health data companies in the regions. HSX will host a series of regional events and programs, including a startup accelerator, to grow a self-sustaining innovation ecosystem.

In five years, HSX anticipates this project will create or grow at least 50 new digital health companies and add 150 new jobs by lowering the significant technical and financial barriers inhibiting entrepreneurs from leveraging health information to create and grow their ventures.
