Purdue Polytechnic Anderson, a direct extension of the Purdue Polytechnic Institute at Purdue University, is helping the East Central Indiana workforce adapt to the innovative, high-technology, skill-based requirements of the emerging advanced manufacturing industry. With a suite of STEM program, Purdue Polytechnic Anderson is focusing on skills, rather than degrees.

Purdue Polytechnic Anderson will build upon the success of several industry-driven pilot programs. Using a community-driven approach known as Strategic Doing, the bachelor’s degree curriculum has been transformed into micro-credentialing programs: Manufacturing Pathways, LEAN credentials, Food Engineers, and the Educator Maker-in-Residence Fellowship. Through these programs, Muncie and Anderson residents will benefit from a total of 975 new certifications and job placement of 525 trainees in the manufacturing and agri-technology industries.
