Arkansas State University (A-State) proposes an EDA University Center (UC) program to harness the intellectual knowledge and resources of A-State to foster economic development in the northeast Arkansas region and become a model of university support for small towns in distressed regions. The focus of the program will be direct technical assistance to both the public and private sector and the dissemination of applied research in support of economic development programs and projects.
