The proposed UL Lafayette University Center - Louisiana Entrepreneurship and Economic Development Center (LEED), will focus upon leveraging university assets to build regional economic ecosystems that support innovation and high-growth entrepreneurship by providing technical assistance and support to: businesses and economic development agencies; entrepreneurs; rural and underserved minority populations not connected to economic development resources; and regional commercialization efforts. The College is uniquely positioned to support EDA’s efforts and to provide the following scope of work: encouraging business expansion within the region's innovation clusters, advancing high-growth entrepreneurship, cultivating innovation, and supporting the region's commercialization efforts.
